I hate to post the same thing twice but I would really like an answer. I'd like to know whether anything new is ever added to the Prelinger collection.

If my memory is accurate, the last major round of additions was about three years ago. Over a thousand films were added.

It would be nice to see a few hundred thousand new additions, but at the price I can't complain about the pace of new Prelinger Archive offerings.

AV GEEKS occasionally adds a film or two. That section is essentially Prelinger Lite. Similar films, smaller collection, same smooth taste. You may also want to look at the drive-in movie ads at http://www.archive.org/details/DriveInMovieAds

Thanks very much. I have a feeling that the Universal Newsreels collection is frozen, i.e., complete. Do you know?

I've been trying to add new stuff to the AV Geeks collection, but I've been busy with other projects.

The Universal Newsreels from DVDs released by the University of San Diego. I don't believe there are anymore from that collection, but whenever I run across some more newsreels (I believe I have some in my collection), I'll add them.

There are some great things in the UCSF Tobacco Industry Videos Collection, the Drive-In Movie Ads and Feature Films sections.
